Watsons Bay

It was a nice day last Sunday so Karim, Dawn and I decided to go for a walk from their house in Rose Bay up to Watson Bay.

It was a lovely walk and there were plenty of views to take some nice pictures.

This was taken just out of Rose Bay and it's a picture of the city with the harbour bridge in the distance, here let me zoom in for you!

This is Karim and his lovely wife Dawn (next time I'll try not to get the bus stop sign in the picture!!)

And here's me looking with a nice view in the distance (and the same bus stop sign, thanks Karim :) you're as bad as me :)

The sea was very calm this day.

This is the first light house ever to be built in Australia, and it's still in use today.

Right at the top of a big hill I climbed up on a big rock to get a better view and some great pics:

We then arrived at Watson Bay

Where we stayed and had a late lunch/early dinner and watched the sun go down:

Vivid Sydney

So every year around this time the Aussies do what's called Vivid Sydney

After dark they shine a load of lights on buildings and have a theme to the images that are shown.

The lights on the buildings are in time to music, and it's a really amazing festival of light that loads of people go to see.

Here's a few images of The Sydney Opera House and a LARGE boat in Circular Quay with images on them.

If you look closely at the building dead ahead, you'll see little circles of light going up the building. This is Customs House, and in front of it on the floor was a box you could walk on, and when you did a circle of light came around your feet, and when you walked it followed you and made sound! It was like being in that film BIG with the piano on the floor!!

My Apartment!!

I spent the first 6 weeks of being here in OZ in a hotel. It was nice for a while, but after a bit you just need some home comforts! So after a few weeks of looking and trying to find somewhere with the right location/price and the fact that it needed to be fully furnished as well I find somewhere.

It's perfect, not to big, not to small (you know the kind of place GoldieLocks would like!). It's not a palace by any means, but location wise it's perfect and has everything I need.

Anyway I moved in on the 20th May and here's some pics of it:

It's a studio apartment so the bed comes out of this wall!!

And as if by magic I have a bed! It's like something out of James Bond :)

Sydeny Sea Life Aquarium

The Aquarium is down in one of my favourite places in Sydney, Darling Harbour:

It's a lot bigger than the previous Aquarium I visited the week before in Manly.

There were lots of little fish:

And lots of big fish:

And LOTS of Sharks!!

And yes I found Nemo!

And later saw him running away with Dorrie :)

I thought I was in the movies, first Nemo, then Jaws:

And then Aliens!:

All in all it was a good day out with lots of exciting sea life to see.

Bye Bye for now!
