Safari World

I booked another trip with the hotel tour organiser. I booked a day out at Safari World.

It's split into 2 sections, what they call Safari Park and Marine Park. Safari Park is obviously a Safari where you drive round and see the animals walking freely (like Knowsley Safari Park). And Marine Park is all the other animals (not just Marine life though) kind of like Chester Zoo..

For extra money you could hold some of the animals!

There were a lot of shows at the Marine Park, which included:

Orangutans:

Sea Lions:

Elephants:

They got the elephants to draw, it was actually amazing to watch them do it.

They also shot darts out of a gun at balloons using their trunks to blow the darts!

And they played football:

There was also a dolphin show, but it was VERY crowded and I was at the very back, so only took some video of this and didn't manage to get any pictures :(

In between the shows there we lots of other animals to see:

Mum your favourites :)

Here's my old friend Joe from OZ! :)

These ones of the tigers and blurry because they are taken from within their enclosure in a kind of greenhouse!! There's some steps to go down and under the fence and you come up inside their enclose!

And there's the greenhouse!

I've got to say even though this zoo wasn't as nice as some other ones I've been to, you were a LOT closer to the animals here, and the animals were all outside as well, where in the UK zoo's you never see the animals because they're all inside. It probably has something to do with the fact that it was 32 0c and the animals wanted to get out on the off chance there might be a bit of a breeze to cool them down (there wasn't!!)

I bumped into some orangutans out for a walk! So I handed one of them a banana (I got it on video :))

There were lots of parrots all around the zoo, and they were bloody noisy too!

The giraffes had a feeding hut, where you could go up and feed them bananas.

I don't think this one liked me :)

And then we moved onto the safari and drove around the open zoo in a minibus.

Here's the other side to the giraffe enclose, and you can see the people in the feeding hut where I took the previous giraffe pictures from.

All in a all it was a good day out and well worth the £33 I paid for the whole days trip including lifts to and from the park, entrance fees and LUNCH! That's one good thing here EVERYTHING is soo cheap! :)
